About the Teacher's Vision and Teaching PhilosophyA little history on why I love teaching science and mathematics ... It's quite simple ... make them relevant, applicable, and apparent in peoples' lives. This is my philosophy to teaching science and mathematics. Through this approach, educators and others alike can build the confidence and appreciation young learners of the 21st century need. Many people would tend to agree that anything is interesting when it's fun, tangible, and interactive. Science and mathematics are ubiquitous in nature, from creating a budget to dressing appropriately according to the weather, or to understanding why vaccinations exist. In short, I believe that science and mathematics are learning vehicles and for young learners to help them gain useful critical thinking skills and achieve their academic goals, while appreciating and understanding their influence around them ... so, welcome! |
